Final Week- Cross your fingers

March 30, 2009

We are in the home stretch. At least we hope...

These past 5 1/2 weeks have seemed so long at times; while at the same time has flown by. We can’t help but wonder what now?

For 5 1/2 weeks we have had a plan...
Wake up take pills
Go to radiation at 10:45. 5 days a week.
Take chemo pills before bed.

I can help but wonder, what is in store for us next.

Staying positive is usually pretty simple for me/us. We have so many things to be thankful for; family, friends, work, and awesome place to live. But there are so many moments where it becomes difficult to stay positive and upbeat...

I guess I relate it to doing an event...
So much preparation goes into the event...
Event day comes and the adrenaline kicks in for that period of time during the event.
Then the event is over and now what????

Back to the hustling and getting more work. I guess that is how I have to treat each phase of my treatment. I am coming up on the end of one my BIG events and now I have so much uncertainty ahead.

I continue to try and stay positive; with my eye sight seemly becoming worse as the days go on. (Told that it will return) I do my best to stay positive and look forward to the next MRI some time in mid April...hopefully with a positive outcome! mk

  2. Hey chica - good to see you staying positive, you are definitely an inspiration! We're sending nothing but good thoughts your way and let us know if there is ANYTHING we can do. We love you guys and would love to get together again when you feel like it. Campbell and Lindsey would love to have a front yard playdate again with Finn and Sloan (it could be our front yard too).

    Love,
    Em and Dan
