So here we are headed into a total of five years of living
breathing and eating Brain Tumor...don’t get me wrong we have had some incredible
moments! Incredible.
Kids are awesome! Summer was a blast (had a great trip to
Iowa) and now we are back to reality...
We had a visit to Los Angeles this past week for a second opinion
(or really what seems like the 100th opinion.) of what we should do with this
tumor...From the most recent scans (every 3-6 months) the Tumor is growing-
slowly but growing...
The docs want to get in my skull and pop it open like a piñata
- shaking a portion of the tumor out. They are telling me that they cannot get
all of it, 60%, 80%, maybe 90%- won’t know until they break it open.
The alternative to piñata surgery is more Chemo, more
Radiation, more Avastin or a quality of life process. Not sure I or the rest of
the family is ready for that quite yet....
Sooo...looks like surgery will be a go...of course after the 3rd Annual Step & Support San Diego Brain
Tumor Foundation (SDBTF)- come join the team if you can make it!
