The Results from the Surgery

The nurse came and got me around 1-ish and I gave my hugs and kisses to my familyand friends and said “see you in a couple hours,” I had to be tough for everyone else.

They needed it, I needed it, it was hard.

Paul walked back with me into the prep-area and we hugged and kissed a few more times. Paul was asked to leave, it was time.
I was frightened. Not sure of what was to come. Would i see my kids, my husband my family, my friends. I began to cry.
Thankfully there was an Anesthesiologist that was kind to me. He could see how scared I was, he sat with me during the preparation and held my hand and calmed me down. He was lovely.

The Results from the Surgery

About 5PM, four hours after the Doctors began the surgery. Dr. Yu walked out intothe waiting room to deliver his news…

He said that they dissected a very large part of the Tumor and that the initial pathology report indicated a Begin Tumor. However, there is part of the Tumor that they were unable to reach because of the location. But it looks like they cut the blood supply off to that specific area of the Tumor and that he was hopeful that the Tumor would not be able to live without this blood source.

A gigantic relief set in.

This picutre was taken about a few hours after surgery. By the next morning, my left eye swelled up like a went 10 rounds with Mike Tyson.

I left the Cedars-Sinai that Monday the 3rd of November and survived my first brain surgery.
