Can you believe it has been has been 6 months since we found out about the tumor.
Ah who cares…day by day…right.
Well this week I had my first MRI-CT scan since the biopsy / week of starting radiation / chemo treatment.
And……
Not exactly what we wanted to hear. Dr. Rudnick said “Marni, your tumor is so rare that it is rare.”
Comforting thought.
By the look of your scan we can’t tell if the tumor is growing radically or if it is dying off. However, the tumor looks aggravated and reacting abnormally.
We can tell by the scan why you have continued speech, memory issues and an increase in eyesight problems. The swelling in your brain has become more than evident from the 5 ½ weeks of radiation which is the reason for the challenges you are currently are having…
We need to take an aggressive stance at this point. Here are your options…
1.) Increase the steroids to 12m a day, if there is not a huge increase in these challenged areas. We need to move to option 2….
2.) We start you on Avastin
Ready Break!
